Question: What type of things have you broken and how have you fixed them?

All kinds of things – but I only break them, I don’t fix them.
For example in the last few years I’ve tested components such as parts from cars, and artificial joints which are put inside people’s hips. I’ve also tested body parts such as bones and muscles – usually from animals but sometimes from dead people. And just lately I’ve been testing body parts from insects – their wings and legs – to understand how they are made and what materials they are made from.
