Enjoy Most: The variety in the projects i get to work on. Engineers work in teams, with each person having certain skills/knowledge which should allow the team to succeed. This means i get to work on new and exciting projects every few months. At the minute in am working on advising the EU on there laws regarding bio-energy, working with doctors to develop low cost 3d printer prosthetic hands for children and advising business people on how to add technology to their businesses.

Enjoy Least: Very little, but i guess i get tired traveling for work during my busiest months.

Enjoy most : Being responsible for a certain design & seeing it through to the end. And seeing a successful project make it out the door to a happy client.

Enjoy least: sometimes the workload. I wouldn’t mind having teachers holidays in the summer 🙂

Most enjoy : that no day is the same and what we make improves people’s lives.

Least enjoy: having to do paperwork, because we make medical devices it’s critical to the safety of the device and patient that everything is documented correctly. But it can take time, working in the lab is nicer!

I like the fact that when I’m given a new problem to work on I think “Oh no…I can’t do that!” and before long I’m doing it.
About what I don’t like; well I guess sometimes it would be nice to do the kind of job where you can finish work at 5pm and forget about it until 9am the next day. But my job is so interesting I’m thinking about it even when I’m not at work.
