I was 26 when I got a job as an engineer. Up until then I had thought I was going to be a scientist, and so I did a science degree at university. But I found I liked the more engineering bits of science.

Almost 5 years ago when I was 25, I was a chemist before that. Because I did a masters in Chemical Engineering I was able to change direction. Most medical device companies take science or engineering graduates for engineering roles too.
