      To make the rocket go one way, you have to push a lot of stuff out the back. Usually gas comes out the back – that’s how they make rockets that go into space. But you can make a cool rocket using an old plastic water bottle – the bigger the better. Put some water in (but not too much) and fix a valve from a bike tyre in the end. Then pump air in…the pressure inside builds up and then suddenly the valve pops out and the rocket goes up. You can get them to go really high!
